The fast-food company was “horrified” after seeing a video of a Popeyes employee attacking a worker while behind restaurant counter, the fast-food chain said on Twitter.
According to WALB, the employee worked as a manager at a Popeyes in Bainbridge, Georgia. According to the outlet, he was later arrested on charges of battery and first-degree cruelty to a child.
According to an arrest report published on Bainbridgega.com, the employee was arrested on May 30.
We are absolutely horrified, like the rest of the public. The employee responsible for the assault was immediately terminated by the franchisee. We are working with local authorities and the franchisee to ensure the impacted team member has the support she needs to fully recover.
