One person was killed in a fatal collision a stolen car and another vehicle on Sunday afternoon, according to the Georgia State Patrol and Newton County Police.

Officials said the chase started after Newton County Police discovered a stolen vehicle from Mississippi being driven by a driver of a Passat on I-20 West near the exit.

The suspect exited at Turner Hill, then turned onto Lithonia Industrial before colliding with another automobile.

The suspect’s vehicle overturned after impact, and a pregnant female passenger was ejected and died as a result of her injuries. According to GSP, another woman in the car suffered non-life threatening injuries.

According to 11Alive, the state patrol is still investigating the crash and has not released a report.
