Prosecutors say, NY Rapper A Boogie wit da Hoodie arrested after authorities found guns and weed during a raid at his NJ home.
The rapper, whose real name is Artist Dubose, was charged with marijuana possession and weapons charges, as per the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office.
A search warrant was executed by law enforcement on Monday at his NJ home in Demarest. Authorities have not disclosed how their investigation is tied to the search of the rapper’s home.
Prosecutors say they located hollow-point bullets, handguns, high-capacity magazines, and weed. 33-year-old Quashaun Hagler, a security guard at the home, has also been charged with illegal weapons possession.
These arrest are a day after a shooting at Teaneck nightclub where Boogie was celebrating his 25th birthday. An 18-year-old man critically injured but authorities said Boogie’s arrest was not related to the shooting.
“He is not a suspect, nor did we believe him to be a suspect,” Chief Detective Robert Anzilotti said of the rapper.
