Juvenile is the first to confess that he was apprehensive when a dating app approached him about partnering, but his doubts were quickly dispelled when he learned that the overall aim was to educate his people about the COVID-19 vaccination.

The New Orleans rapper appeared on “TMZ Live” and described how and why he collaborated with the dating app BLK. He says he was sold on the dating app’s objective as soon as he heard about it.

Although Juvenile represents a long list of famous celebrities urging fans and communities to get vaccinated, the rapper’s actions are particularly significant. According to TMZ, only 14 percent of African-Americans feel the vaccine is safe, a startling figure given President Biden’s goal of vaccinating 80 percent of adults.
