According to NBC, singer Pleasure P was arrested in Miami Gardens on a battery charge after a run-in early Thursday with a fast-food worker, authorities said.
An arrest report said the 35-year-old musician, whose real name is Marcus Ramone Cooper, was taken into custody following a disturbance at 18100 Northwest 2nd Avenue at the Checkers.
According to the report, the worker said Cooper had been yelling at her through the intercom system for several minutes before he pulled up to the window and “continued to yell louder and become more disrespectful.”
The worker said that Cooper gave her $60 in return for his food, then pushed her into the chest with the food, the document said.
When the police arrived, Cooper said he was involved in a verbal exchange with the worker and said he decided to throw the food, but not at her, the report said.
“While the defendant talked to me, his person emitted a strong smell of adult beverage,” the policeman wrote in the report. “I continued my investigation and saw food on the floor near the window and several employees who corroborated the victim’s testimony.”
Cooper was arrested and taken to jail in Miami-Dade.
