Road Rage Shootout Between 2 Motorist in Long Beach, California Causes Wild Crash

Road rage appears to have sparked a shooting in Long Beach on Sunday, injuring one person.

According to the Los Angeles Times, officers responded to a reported road accident near East Seventh Street and Park Avenue around 2:30 a.m. They uncovered evidence of a shooting at the scene and ascertained that individuals in two cars had shot at each other.

One of the vehicles struck the other, causing it to crash into a house.

According to the news publication, officers subsequently arrested Jean Claude Lewis, 48, on suspicion of carrying a loaded firearm and driving on a suspended license.

A woman who was injured in the car-to-car shootout was also found at a hospital by police. According to the news publication, her injuries were not life-threatening. The other driver was still being sought by police. The crash injured Lewis and one other person.
