Ronnie Long’s unjust imprisonment reimbursement from North Carolina is $17,000 a year when divided by 44. Since securing a pardon from Gov. Roy Cooper last year, it is the maximum he is legally entitled to.

After being wrongfully imprisoned, a man wrongly convicted of raping a white woman is speaking out.

According to the Charlotte Observer, Ronnie Long was sentenced to 80 years in prison. Long, who was convicted at the age of 20, missed both of his parents’ deaths and has no resources.
