On Thursday, authorities asked for the public’s assistance in locating a person who is accused of assaulting an Anaheim library staff for no particular reason.
According to Anaheim police Sgt. Shane Carringer, the assault happened around 6:15 p.m. March 3 at the city’s central library, located at 500 W. Broadway.
Carringer said the staffer was strolling through the library when the accused moved in front of him and struck him, knocking him to the ground. The victim was rendered unconscious and transferred to a nearby hospital for treatment of a head cut.
The suspect is a light-skinned Black male in his late twenties to early thirties, about 200 pounds, with a slim muscular frame. He has short hair, is bald, and wears a mustache. He was last seen wearing a black hoodie with red drawstrings, light brown slacks, white shoes, and a Los Angeles Dodgers baseball cap. He appeared to be a vagrant, as he was carrying several bags of goods.
