The passenger on board the airplane, which was departing from Dallas-Fort Worth Airport for Charlotte, reportedly had a mental health breakdown while in the air.
Around 1.30 a.m., flight attendants began urgently sprinting up and down the aisles, locking bathroom doors and guarding the situation, according to TikToker.
While it was obvious that something was going on at the front of the plane, she claimed that no one said anything and that just whispers and murmuring was heard.
The flight crew explained the source of the problem, towards the front of the plane, was being taking care of.
The TikToker filmed the clip after the plane had landed, showing a woman duct-taped to her seat.
Duct tape looked to be covering her mouth as well. The person was’restrained,’ according to an American Airlines statement, after causing crew members concerns.
‘While in flight from Dallas-Fort Worth to Charlotte on July 6, the crew on board American Airlines flight 1774 reported a potential security concern after a customer attempted to open the forward boarding door and physically assaulted, bit and caused injury to a flight attendant,’ a statement read.
‘For the safety and security of other customers and our crew, the individual was restrained until the flight landed at CLT and could be met by law enforcement and emergency personnel,’ the statement continued.
