A 17-year-old boy was killed during a gunfight with his mother Wednesday afternoon in northwest Oklahoma City, according to police.

When officers arrived to the apartment complex, they discovered two victims with numerous gunshot wounds. Tayevion Henderson, 17, was identified immediately. According to authorities, the second individual involved was Henderson’s 38-year-old mother.

Two firearms were discovered on the scene by police.

Tiffany and Tayevion were both hospitalized, where he was declared dead. They say it’s unclear what triggered the fatal argument between mother and son at this time.

Police said that after their investigation is completed, the district attorney will determine whether or not to prosecute the mother.
