Late Monday night, Orlando police disclosed new information regarding a shooting that resulted in the death of a woman.

The police report that just before midnight, two ladies were arguing in the courtyard between buildings at the Mercy Drive Windsor Cove Apartments.

The women were identified as Lakrisha S. Isaac, age 31, and Lashun Denise Rodgers, age 41.

The Orlando police said that Isaac gave her 10-year-old daughter a bag containing a gun.

A report adds, “The juvenile retrieved that firearm from the bag and fired two rounds, striking the victim.”

The hospital declared Rodgers dead. According to the Orlando police, both the youngster and Isaac were placed under arrest. The youngster was given to the DCF.

The State Attorney’s Office will determine the child’s charges.

Isaac is charged with:

  • Manslaughter culpable negligence
  • Child neglect
  • Contributing to the delinquency of a minor
  • Aggravated assault with a firearm
