Simone Biles, a US gymnastics superstar, has pulled out from the individual all-around competition to focus on her wellness, according to USA Gymnastics.

According to the organization, USA Gymnastics, “wholeheartedly supports her decision.”

“After further medical evaluation, Simone Biles has withdrawn from the final individual all-around competition at the Tokyo Olympic Games, in order to focus on her mental health,” the statement read.

Biles said she was “still struggling with some things” and was having trouble dealing with outside assumptions and perspectives after leaving the team event on Tuesday. She thought she was in control of her mental health until she arrived at the Olympics.

After further medical evaluation, Simone Biles has withdrawn from the final individual all-around competition.
