According to authorities, a group of seven males attacked a 14-year-old child on the inside of a subway station in Brooklyn on Tuesday.

A boy was accosted by the mob on the platform of the Van Siclen Avenue station about 3:57 p.m. on March 14 and pounded many times on the head and body, according to video of the attack. His mother stated that he was on his way home from school.

According to his mother, the victim had no idea who attacked him. He takes that route home after school every day and has never had any issues.

The suspects ran away from the station. According to officials, the teen’s body was left swollen and bruised. After the attack, he called his mother.

“Mommy, I was scared for my life,” he said. “I was crying when he told me,” the mother admitted.

The whole affair was recorded by one of the attackers. Thousands of people saw the video after it was shared on social media. It was discovered on Snapchat by a victim’s classmate and sent to the hurt teenager.

The police are looking for assistance in identifying and locating the suspects.
