Texas High School Teacher Charged With Sexually Assaulting Teen Student During Spring Break

Katrina Maxwell, 32, has been accused of having a sexual relations with a 16-year-old student. She has been charged with two counts of sexual assault.

Maxwell admitted to having sex with the teen in the back of her car during a June 8 administrative meeting, according to docs obtained by ABC13.

She also claimed to be in love with the teen, according to court docs. Maxwell was reported by an employee after she threw scissors at a female student that was sitting next to Maxwell’s teen flame.

The student admitted to having multiple entanglements with the teacher between March and April, according to Click2Houston.

Maxwell was fired after Sheldon Independent School District conducted their own investigation.

“The district has conducted a thorough investigation and upon completion, we find these reports to be substantiated,” the district said in a statement obtained by the outlet.

“Sheldon ISD is deeply saddened that this occurred, and we are committed to continued cooperation with law enforcement to ensure Mrs. Maxwell is prosecuted to the fullest extent.”
