Four people have been arrested in Mesquite in connection with the murder of a 16-year-old boy last month.

On Jan. 23, Keymydre Palmer Anderson’s body was discovered in the middle of Clay Mathis Road.

According to witnesses, he fell from the window of a car that did not stop. He was dressed in nothing more than a t-shirt and underwear at the time.

Anderson’s death, according to the latest information, was the result of a botched robbery attempt. When his body was dropped from the car, his clothes were allegedly torn from his torso.

Detectives examined Anderson’s mobile and social media activity, according to an arrest warrant document. It was discovered via the investigation that 19-year-old Dallas resident Jonathan Pyle and 18-year-old Wilmer resident Simon Guillen planned to rob Anderson.

In addition to Simon’s mother, Crystal Guillen, and a male suspect aged 15, Guillen was taken into custody. The nature of their connection to the case still has not been disclosed.

The news of the charges in connection with the murder of her grandson horrified Tonya Palmer, his grandmother.

“That’s not a parent. A parent wouldn’t do things like that. That’s called a madman, not a mother,” she said. “Going around doing criminal activity with your child. You’re supposed to be a role model to your kids, your son.”

According to the affidavit, Anderson had contacted them about purchasing a firearm and arranged to meet them outside his residence on the night he was slain.

The 26-year-old, according to police, had money from his after-school work at a fast food restaurant.

Anderson was murdered for the $250 in cash he possessed. His family is relieved that the suspects have been apprehended, but their grief has not been alleviated.

Charged with capital murder are all four of the alleged murderers. In light of his young age, the juvenile’s identity and photograph were withheld.
