The 57-year-old ailing former talk show host insisted in March that she would return to the daytime show this summer.

However, a show spokesperson confirmed on Tuesday that the daytime show is definitively over and that the final episode will air on June 17th.

According to Deadline, “the final original episode of The Wendy Williams Show will air with a video tribute to the iconic host.”

“The series comes to an end after 14 successful years in syndication.”

Sherri Shepherd, who had regularly filled in for Wendy, revealed in February that she will host a new innovative talk show, Sherri.

This fall, it will take the place of The Wendy Williams Show. Wendy had to depart her purple chair last year due to health problems.

Grave’s Disease, an immune disorder that affects the thyroid, addiction, and COVID-19 are just a few of the medical issues she’s been dealing with.

Wendy promised earlier this year that she would return to her daytime show in 3 months.
