The world’s largest cruise ship has set sail for the first time, measuring five times the size of the Titanic.

The 236,857-ton Wonder of the Seas features 19 pools, 20 restaurants, 11 bars, an ice rink, casino, and even its own Central Park.

From Fort Lauderdale, Florida, the Royal Caribbean liner embarked on her inaugural seven-day voyage to the Caribbean on Friday.

The ship’s statistics are mind-boggling.

It measures 362 meters (1,188 feet) in length, has a capacity of 6,988 passengers and 2,300 crew, and can hold enough beer to fill all of the ship’s swimming pools twice.

Its top speed is 22 knots (25mph), courtesy of three 20,000 kilowatt diesel-electric thrusters under the stern and four 7,500 horsepower bow thrusters.

The construction of Wonder of the Seas in Saint-Nazaire, France, took three years and cost more than £1 billion.

She was originally scheduled to launch in China last year but was postponed due to the Covid pandemic.

Furthermore, there is a Boardwalk on board, which is modeled after the Coney Island attraction and is surrounded with restaurants serving Italian, French, and German cuisine, as well as American staples like hotdogs and pizza.

Additionally, the ship features a Vegas-style casino.

Central Park is located on another deck, complete with 20,000 plants and trees.

On the Royal Promenade, passengers can sip cocktails created by robots at the Bionic Bar.

If that’s not enough, there’s also the Rising Tide Bar, which features a moving platform with seats that move up and down between the Promenade on Deck Five and Central Park on Deck Eight, providing excellent views.
