A 4-year-old girl who was killed by a dog in southern Dallas on Saturday has been identified by her relatives. Neighbors said they’d been phoning 911 for months after watching the dogs leap out the windows.

Her family says she perished on Saturday morning after being mauled by a dog at a home in southern Dallas.

Tiara Freeman, her mother, talked with WFAA when the event happened. “I was just getting a drink for my neighbor and her dad,” Tiara explained.

Tiara stated that she had left her three girls with a friend and her father, where they were all living.

Lea’s relatives stated that her mother suffers from mental health problems and that they have been attempting to place the children with their grandparents.

Since March, Lea’s grandparents have been phoning CPS and informing them about the children’s living situation.

Child Protective Services stated that they have past interactions with the family, but that the circumstances are private.
