Raptors President of Basketball Operations Masai Ujiri is being sued for damages by a cop who claimed that Ujiri had assaulted him just after Toronto’s victory over the Golden State Warriors in Game 6 of last year’s NBA Finals, per a suit filed in California last week.

According to ESPN.com, the suit claims the sum total of these issues have caused Strickland permanent disability. The suit asks for the couple to be rewarded: general damages exceeding the minimum amount of $75,000, as well as, among other things: punitive damages, payment of all medical and incidental expenses, to date and in the future; all proven loss of earnings; and all legal costs of filing the suit. The couple has asked for a jury trial.
