Trina's 17-Year-Old Niece Shot & Killed in Miami

Authorities are investigating a deadly shooting in a northwest Miami neighborhood early Wednesday that killed one woman and sent 2 others to the hospital.

Officers were called to the 1300 block of Northwest 62nd Lane just after midnight and were there until early Wednesday morning.

According to Miami Police, police discovered a woman with a gunshot wound and declared her dead at the scene. Her name has not been revealed, but family members informed NBC 6 that she was a 17-year-old who was related to well-known South Florida rapper, Trina.

Two other victims were taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital with gunshot injuries, but their status and names were not disclosed.

Footage from the scene showed a Mercedes SUV with numerous bullet holes on its side and a blasted out back window. The car was taken away from the location.

Officials have not revealed any information about what prompted the shooting and have stated that the motive is still being investigated.
