Police in College Park are looking for a rideshare driver who is accused of shooting a pregnant lady three times and forcing her to give birth prematurely, FOX5 reported.

The woman was discovered with bullet wounds to her torso and leg. She gave birth at Grady Memorial Hospital, where both the mother and the baby are in good health, according to authorities.

Doctors prematurely delivered her baby, who is currently fighting for his or her life, according to WSB-TV.

At 10:30 p.m., police responded to the incident on Camp Creek Parkway.

According to Kenneth Anderson’s daughter, the driver shot her after they got into an verbal altercation on the way to the apartment.

Anderson informed us that the Uber driver scooped her up in a vehicle that didn’t match the color described on the application.

She was shot three times, once in the leg and twice in the stomach. The investigation is still ongoing, according to the authorities.

Uber says it deactivated the driver after becoming aware of the event.

Uber said in a statement released on Monday:

“The details surrounding the horrific act of violence towards the rider and her newborn are nauseating and our thoughts are them as they recover. We stand ready to assist law enforcement with their investigation.”

To pay for the woman’s medical expenditures, the woman’s relatives started an online campaign.
