ViacomCBS Fires Nick Cannon After His Comments About 'White People'
ViacomCBS has fired actor and TV host Nick Cannon over anti-semitic comments on his podcast.’
Variety reports Cannon came under attack for pushing anti-Semitic conspiracy theories that included the Rothschild family on a June 30 episode of “Cannon ‘s Class.” Cannon said Black people are the “true Hebrews” during a discussion with former Public Enemy member Professor Griff on racial bias.
Nick Cannon Says White People Are ‘The True Savages’ [VIDEO] ViacomCBS released the following statement:
“ViacomCBS condemns bigotry of any kind and we categorically denounce all forms of anti-Semitism,” the company said. “We have spoken with Nick Cannon about an episode of his podcast ‘Cannon’s Class’ on YouTube, which promoted hateful speech and spread anti-Semitic conspiracy theories. While we support ongoing education and dialogue in the fight against bigotry, we are deeply troubled that Nick has failed to acknowledge or apologize for perpetuating anti-Semitism, and we are terminating our relationship with him.”
