Bill Cosby returned to Pennsylvania on Wednesday after his sexual assault conviction was overturned by the state’s highest court.

Cosby was sentenced to three to ten years in state prison in September 2018 for allegedly drugging and sexually assaulting former Temple University employee Andrea Constand in 2004. Cosby has served just over two years of his sentence.

The Pennsylvania Supreme Court agreed to consider two issues in Cosby’s appeal to dismiss his 2018 sexual assault conviction last year.

The state Supreme Court ruled Wednesday that Cosby’s prosecution should never have happened because of an agreement the comedian struck with former Montgomery County prosecutor Bruce Castor, who decided not to prosecute Cosby if he promised to give a deposition in a civil case brought against him by Constand.
