67-year-old Paul Lao was washing his vehicle when a man came through his back door and pointed a gun at him, demanding money, according to the victim’s daughter-in-law.

Video shows the man waving his pistol at the driver while talking to him. The suspect then steals the man cash and cell. According to the daughter-in-law, Lao had nearly $1,500 on him at the time of the robbery.

After robbing the man, the suspect demanded the keys to the BMW, but Lao had to tell him that the BMW is actually keyless and can only be operated by him. That when the suspect hit Lao in the face with the gun and then ran from the car.

Lao reported the horrific incident and then handed the video over to authorites. He stated he got a dashcam for his protection but disabled the mic because a person has to have consent to record audio in the state.

A GoFundMe has been set up for him by family.
