A law enforcement source tells Local 10 News that the man suspected of fatally shooting a woman in the head in a northwest Miami-Dade alley on Tuesday and leaving her slightly naked body at the spot, is also a person of interest in at least 5 rapes.

Ron Donaldson, 43, of Miami Beach, was arrested on Wednesday. They said he and the victim, 25-year-old Wendy Daniel, arrived in Donaldson’s gray sedan near Northwest 26th Avenue and 95th Street early Tuesday.

According to Local 10 News, Daniel can be seen slumping over as Donaldson, a suspect in at least five sexual assaults in the Miami region, flees the scene.

According to police, the area is well-known for sex work activity. According to the arrest affidavit, surveillance footage shows Donaldson, who did appear to be naked, exiting the car from the passenger seat, snatching up the victim as she attempted to stand up, and shooting her one time in the head.

“I hope the man that killed her dies and goes to hell!” the victim’s mother, Tiffany Williams, told the outlet.

“He didn’t have to do my daughter or no other girl like he has done in the past. And I hope he gets consecutive life sentences and I hope he dies! I hope somebody kills him!”

Less than 24 hours later, police located him at his Miami Beach residence.

Donaldson’s history has also been revealed to Local 10 News. He did work as an insurance agent and unit supervisor for Bankers Life in North Miami and had no noticeable criminal past before being charged with second-degree murder on Wednesday.

According to a police source, authorities think he may be responsible for at least 5 rapes in Miami-Dade County. The police have confirmed that they’re collaborating with several other organizations to determine whether he is linked to any other wrongdoings.

Donaldson has been detained, but Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers is still offering a $5,000 reward for any information as to what may have led up to Daniel’s murder. Its phone number is 305-471-8477.
