Vivica A. Fox Is Not Interested In Seeing Issa Rae's 'Set It Off' Remake
According to Essence, Vivica A. Fox isn’t into the idea of a Set If Off remake. After it was announced back in September that ESSENCE cover star Issa Rae was in the early stages of developing a remake of the 1996 classic film, which she is also set to star in, Fox sounded off about the idea in a recent interview.
Damn, Vivica Fox said she’s not here at all for Issa Rae's 'Set It Off' remake.
“It’s a classic, leave it alone,” she said bluntly. “There’s absolutely no reason to try to redo it. It’s been done..” pic.twitter.com/2sXe8rdpfA
She’s right. 99% of these remakes are unnecessary. People have mentioned that there are so many folks who are creating great stories now. Hollywood needs to stop looking back.
