It was meant to be the most enchanting day of their lives.

Last week, a couple’s marriage proposal at Disneyland Paris was cut short when a park employee impeded their romantic moment.

Now that a video of the incident has gone viral, Disney has apologized for the employee’s actions.

“We regret how this was handled,” a spokesperson from Disney told Newsweek. “We have apologized to the couple involved and offered to make it right.”

The video, which was initially posted on Reddit, displayed a man proposing to his girlfriend on one knee. The employee is then observed snatching the ring box and shooing the guests away from the platform in front of the Sleeping Beauty Castle.

Prior to the incident, the user who posted the video stated that the man had obtained approval to propose on the platform.

Audience members can be heard booing the employee in the video.
