After D.L. Hughley’s Kanye West comments, rapper Theophilus London made headlines by appearing to challenge the comedian.
In a series of Instagram posts, London, who appeared on Ye’s “All Day” song in 2015, claimed to have pulled up to the comedian and demanded that he issue an apology.
A blurry photo of Hughley captured at Nobu in Miami and was posted with the caption “Lmao I told him to apologize on camera for doing that dumb Vlad interview and his people called security.” London wrote. Claudia Jordan responded to the Jasmine Brand’s re-posting of the clip by calling London’s actions “corny as hell!”
The comedian claims that, contrary to what London implied in his posts, he and London only exchanged a few words. He was seen walking past Hughley while he was eating dinner with his family in one of London’s videos. The comedian said to VLADTV, he noticed that London kept walking by the table and certainly didn’t appear to be there for any food.
Hughley claims that while in the bathroom, he noticed London taking pics in the mirror. As the radio host approached the restroom, London asked, “What’s up, OG?” before bringing up DL’s quarrel with Kanye West.
The conversation, according to DL, was short and simple, with London informing Hughley that he needed to “make it right” with Kanye, to which Hughley replied with, “[Kanye West] needs to make it right!”
Hughley asserts that after that, the conversation ceased, and London started to leave the bathroom. The comedian stated that he was surprised to continue his night and later learn that rumors about him being “pressed” were making the rounds. Hughley was also oblivious of London’s photograph and pointed out that it was Nobu’s security, not his, who intervened.
