A stalker made a list of 200 potential rape victims and posted online about “why rape is better than sex.”

Vishaal Vijapura, 28, used aliases to contact victims and paid hundreds to ancestry and address tracing websites.

Among his digital files, police discovered eight spreadsheets containing lists of 191 names, phone numbers and addresses, genders, dates of birth, phone numbers, names of family members, and Twitter, Snapchat, and Instagram screen names.

Vijapura attempted to justify his preference for rape over consensual sex in his internet posts.

Notes on Vijapura’s phone revealed typed essays describing in detail sexual abuse and rape fantasies that he had sent to some victims.

In one message to a victim, he threatened to rape her at her residence and video the assault to post on the internet.

Another victim was told that his attack would make her “completely unconscious.” After a graphic message, he sent a 3rd victim laughing emojis.

All of these victims were random people, but Vijapura paid at least £500 to use research sites such as ancestry.co.uk and 192.com to learn about their lives in order to terrorize them, according to authorities.

Vijapura stalked and messaged his victims anonymously using multiple usernames on various social media sites.

When a victim blocked him on one account, he would create another and use the new unknown account to resume messaging them.

Between June 2020 and January 2021, when he was arrested, his email was associated with at least 28 different social media accounts, according to authorities.

Vijapura used the data he gathered to frighten his victims by telling them specifics about themselves while stalking them.

According to police, he even initiated an Instagram thread titled “why r is better than sex: a thread.”

According to police, of the 191 names, 150 could be traced back to real people.

Vijapura, from Shirley in Croydon, south London, was apprehended after several victims filed complaints with the police, and officers were able to track him down using the IP address he used.

He was sentenced to two years and eight months in prison on Tuesday at Croydon Crown Court after pleading guilty to seven counts of stalking that included fear of violence at an earlier hearing.

A sexual harm prevention order was also issued, as well as a permanent injunction prohibiting him from contacting any of the people on the list directly or indirectly for the rest of his life.
