NBA Fines Miami Heat & Jimmy Butler After He Made This 'Obscene Gesture' on The Bench

Jimmy Butler did not appear in Game 5 of the Miami Heat’s series-clinching victory on Tuesday, but he did get himself and his team reprimanded.

Jimmy Butler was fined $15,000 by the NBA on Thursday for making a “obscene gesture” on the Miami Heat’s bench during Game 5 of their first-round series against the Atlanta Hawks. In addition, the Heat were fined $15,000 for publishing a gif of the “gesture” on social media.

The Heat’s gif tweet has since been removed.

This season alone, Jimmy Butler has been fined 3x by the NBA

– 30K for the altercation that happened between Jokic, Morris and Butler

– 25K for not wanting to play in the second half of the All-Star game and not talking to the media

– 15K for his air hump
