On Monday (Oct. 5), the star jokingly addressed his now-viral reaction to his family’s recent “entanglement” drama in a new video.

“I’m not sad a lot,” he says as the clip opens with him dabbing at his eyes with a tissue. “I think because I drink so much coffee, I get dehydrated, and it makes my eyes water. I know people think I’m crying all the time.”

“All the time and he’s not,” Jada Pinkett Smith agrees as she stands off to the side, watching her husband’s sit-down. “Such a shame. Such a shame.”

“It is. No, no but it works out,” Smith continues with a laugh, referencing the couple’s now-viral Red Table Talk video from earlier this summer, where Pinkett Smith admitted she’d gotten into a romantic “entanglement” with actor August Alsina during a time when the Smiths were privately separated.
