Will Smith is in New Orleans filming “Emancipation” and discovered that the city was intending to bypass this year’s big firework display due to a lack of financing and, of course, they had to skip last year’s show as well, due to COVID.

Will and his company, Westbrook, decided to kick out $100k to help pay for the fireworks and festivities, as the city originally planned.

He received numerous kudos from city officials as well as local residents who are overjoyed to have their fireworks display restored.
