Last week, officers in Pennsylvania arrested and jailed a woman after responding to a noise complaint at a pool. According to the Republican & Herald, the woman was heard overhearing an uncut version of Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion’s “WAP” on a speaker.

Officers were said to have arrived at the Tamaqua Bungalow Pool on Friday afternoon (July 23) and asked Stephanie Crute and her two daughters to depart, but they declined. Crute is accused of pushing an officer with her back to her and resisting arrest while other officers attempted to handcuff her.

Crute’s 11-year-old daughter intervened as well, chasing the cop who was trying to arrest her mother from behind. After being subdued, Crute allegedly kicked an officer before being placed in the rear of a patrol car. One of the officers was reportedly taken to the hospital after suffering an unspecified trauma at the pool.

Crute was unable to post 10% of her $25,000 bond at first, according to court papers, but was discharged on Monday (July 26). Her daughter was transferred to her father’s custody. The incident will be the subject of a preliminary hearing in August.

Crute is now facing felony aggravated assault, misdemeanor simple assault, resisting arrest, and summary harassment and disorderly conduct charges.
