On Tuesday, the defendant in a triple murder in Cleveland was acquitted and then mayhem erupted in the courthouse.

Tevin Biles-Thomas, 26, was charged with murder, voluntary manslaughter, and felonious assault . Judge Joan Synenberg of the Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Court approved the defense’s request for acquittal due to a lack of evidence, according to court authorities.

A woman from the gallery ran towards the accused, according to video released by the county. Three deputies had to contain her as she screamed, “He killed my baby!” As she was taken out of the courtroom, she said, “You know he killed my baby!”

In August 2019, Biles-Thomas, a US Army soldier and the brother of Olympic gymnast Simone Biles, was arrested in Georgia.
