Woman Charged With Gunning Down Her Ex-Girlfriend in Memphis

After being suspected of fatally shooting another woman in the middle of a street in Parkway Village, a Memphis woman was arrested, according to WREG.

According to the police, Jamaya Auguster was sitting in a car with two other ladies when the silver Dodge Nitro rolled up. Auguster went to the car and was shot in the chest.

The Nitro driver sped off after the shooting.

Eyewitnesses on the scene had described the vehicle as belonging to Jasmine Mathes, 27.

The authorities found her on Wednesday, when she reportedly confessed to being on the scene because she knew that her girlfriend would be there, and then gunning down Auguster when she walked up to her vehicle.

Mathes has been charged with  second-degree murder & attempted second-degree murder.
